Laurie Lehman
 

Laurie has always been quiet and observing, but found her strongest voice through her painting.  Her first plein air painting was at age 17, she has been an avid plein air painter since, frequently paints in all seasons from snowy winter to long days of summer, trekking out to capture scenes of landscapes. When painting outdoors is not practical she paints from her own photos collected over the years.

 

Still life is also a favorite subject, mostly painted from life, often featuring floral elements, glass, cloth, and a multitude of everyday objects.

 

She is a lifelong resident of Michigan and lives on a quiet lake and finds inspiration there as well. 

 

Laurie has taken many workshops over the years, to continue learning about all aspects of painting and to hone her skills. Her work has received awards and been accepted into juried art shows and competitions.
